Most people wake up in a morning and go to work during weekdays, don’t they?
I think some people who have specific types of work could be different, but most of the business men have such a stereotype routine every day. Most of you must’ve left home at the same hour that you always do, have you? Didn’t you take the same way and train? You must be in the same place at the same hour every day. When you look around, all the faces are familiar, aren’t they? It’s a routine with no change. I don’t think that there are many people who leave home at a different time every day, and take a different way and train to go to work. The routine for most of us is always the same and we live in a stereotype life like factory productions.
When a train’s time schedule revision occurs, there is usually some confusion and we need a little time while we get used to the new routine. When we become used to it, we can usually feel at ease.
This “routine” causes trouble because it gradually paralyzes our thinking and behavior. To get out of the routine, you have to try, for example, getting off the train at a station before the one which you usually get off at and walk from there or taking different route and so on. If you do that, you may unexpectedly find something new. However when you do it, you have to leave home a little earlier than usual in case you get lost. Why don’t you try it, when you come home after finishing your work…?
Also I suggest you to change your type of clothes when you go to work. We tend to choose something very similar to wear for work. Why don’t you choose different color of clothes or go to a different shop to buy them? It may become a good opportunity to revise yourself….
If your company is very understanding, how about wearing very informal summer clothes with sandals and so on? But please do it at your own risk though. Some of the people around you may think you’ve gone crazy.
Well, let’s leave home a little earlier than usual from tomorrow (make sure not to be late to get to work) and wear something different. It’s going to be a new you, isn’t it? How about changing the station where you get on the train, too? You may have a new encounter. Changing your routine (doing something different) may stimulate your brain and mind and it may bring you a great inspiration all of a sudden.
Changing your routine requires considerable energy both physically and mentally. Now, don’t be afraid and try changing your routine. When you can do it, you may become able to feel something new that you’ve never felt before.
