I’m going to explain about the previous topic, Oni-wa-uchi (demons welcome to come in), in an easy to understand manner this time. Because our “魂spirit” is composed with “鬼 demon” and “云 (= luck)”, when “鬼 demon” disappears, only “云 (= luck)” will remain. You see, when you get rid of your desire (=demon) in your mind, your luck may increase. People should originally have some “luck”, but I wonder if we just can’t see it because our desire interrupts it. So, our mind may misunderstand that the demon ‘disappears’ by getting rid of the desire. But in fact, it gets bigger in our mind. However we just aren’t aware of it.
There was a book which talked about “disappearing angers (lightening it)” which was published recently. As long as I can remember, the content was about the importance for us to become aware of our own mind. However, if we could do it easily, all of us would have no problems and be happy by now, wouldn’t we…?
Well then, why is it too hard to do this? Can you guess? It’s because our mind is established in a way with which we can’t be easily aware of things about ourselves. If we can become aware of this, “luck” will increase, though. But as we say “it’s hard to know fortune is unpredictable and changeable”, judgment on luck is quite hard, too.
Even if you won lotto, you might end up losing everything. On the other hand, there is another case, too. Even if there was a person who had an accident and had no choice but to cancel his travel, if the airplane had a crush, his life would have been saved. It’s a typical example of “turning misfortune into fortune”, isn’t it?
So, we never know till the real end about whether we have good luck or bad luck for sure… But we never stop trying to get this “luck”. I wonder why.
Well, to acquire more “luck” requires more awareness of our own mind. But what can we do for this? This must be revealed in next part, which talks about the mechanism of our “heart” (mystery).
